Ruili's kilometre-long main street is Nanmao Jie , which runs west from a tree-shaded roundabout past the Bank of China (foreign exchange Mon-Fri 9-11.30am & 2.30-4.30pm), a minibus depot for transport into the immediate area, and the long-distance bus station , before crossing Renmin Lu. Turn north here and there's a post office (daily 8am-6pm) 50m away on the corner of Xingshi Jie, along which is Ruili's major market. Cross over the broad junction here and continue up Jianshe Lu for Ruili Travel Service (Mon-Sat 7.30-11.30am & 3-6.30pm) next to the Ruili Hotel. They don't speak English but can organize air tickets, and there's an airport bus from here to Mangshi every morning - book the day before. Leaving , there are minibuses every hour to Wanding and Mangshi, at least daily buses to everywhere along the highway between here and Kunming, and one minibus south to Nansan , first stop on the rough, three-day haul to Xishuangbanna.
