MACAU - ARRIVAL

In Macau, all boats from Hong Kong use the same terminal, usually referred to on bus schedules and maps as the Jetfoil Terminal (Nova Terminal in Portuguese), in the southeast of town by Avenida da Amizada. This is connected to the Hotel Lisboa and the budget hotel area on Almeida Ribeiro by a number of buses including #3 and #3A.

If you're arriving from Guangzhou by ferry, you'll disembark at the inner harbour, which is diametrically on the opposite side of the peninsula. From here you can easily walk to Avenida Almeida Ribeiro, or bus #3A passes nearby.

For those arriving at the new airport on Taipa Island, the airport bus #AP1 goes to the Hotel Lisboa and the Jetfoil Terminal, while if you've walked across the border, in the far north of the peninsula from Zhuhai in China, you can ride bus #5 from there to Almeida Ribeiro and Rua da Praia Grande. There are now also a couple of direct buses from Guangzhou right into Macau; these deposit passengers at the inner harbour, near the Guangzhou Ferry Pier.
